Classes continue year-round

Adult Class Announcements



All single classes (except for the Single Barre, which is $11), regardless of length, will be $13 or one punch on the class card. The 30-minute Beginning Pointe class on Tuesday and Friday evenings will now be included in the cost of the preceding technique class, provided at least 3 paying students elect to remain and take the pointe class.
There will no longer be any Half-Class punches on the class card.

Beginning September 3, 2010, Sandra Chinn will return to teach the Friday morning Advanced class at 9:30 am.

Beginning September 4, 2010, Robert Greer will teach the Saturday Ballet Fundamentals class at 12:30 pm.

NEW CLASSES: Marika Brussel will teach Beginning-to-Intermediate class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:30 am beginning Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

Beginning August 26, 2010, Robert Greer will teach the Thursday morning Advanced class at 9:30 am.

Graciela Acedo’s Beginning-to-Intermediate class on Friday mornings will change to 11:30 am beginning Friday, September 10, 2010.

Kirsten Schwartz will substitute for Marika Brussel’s Beginning-to-Intermediate class on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:30 pm.

NEW CLASS TIMES: Beginning Sunday, September 12, 2010, Robert Greer’s Sunday “Men’s Technique” class will become “Ballet Fundamentals,” and both men and women are encouraged to attend. The Fundamentals class will meet from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. “Pas de deux” class will meet from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

New section of Pilates class coming July 5th:
Elizabeth DuVal will teach Pilates on Monday evenings 8:00 – 9:15 PM beginning July 5, 2010.
Suzanne Ryan will continue to teach Pilates on Thursday evenings 8:00 – 9:15 PM.


Fall Satuday studio changes: beginning September 11, 2010, the Saturday 12:00 noon class and 1:30 pointe class will meet in Studio B, and the Saturday 12:30 Fundamentals class will meet in Studio 1.

All single classes (except barre only), regardless of length, are charged $13.00 or the class card rate.  Adult classes are open and ongoing for students age 13 and up.  Drop-ins are welcome 

Fundamentals is recommended for students with little or no previous dance experience.
Beginning Ballet is recommended for students with 1 to 2 years of movement experience.
Intermediate Ballet is recommended for students with 2 or more years of ballet training.
Advanced Ballet is for students of an advanced and/or professional level.
Pointe classes are conducted at the discretion of the instructor.  The half-hour-long class is considered part of the technique class given prior.  Drop-in rate for the hour pointe class is equal to one class on the monthly class card or the single-class rate. 
Pilates: A group mat class suitable for all levels.  Single class rate or class card. 
Master Classes and Technique Labs: check our front page or call for current schedule.

There are no classes Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. Please call to check the holiday schedules.

How to sign in for a class

  1. Go through the doors at the top of the brick steps.  Enter the studio to your right (Studio A).
  2. At the counter to your left, write your name on the appropriate class sign-in sheet in the class binder.
  3. Next to your name, check if you are paying for a single class or using your class card.  If you are taking barre only, please note that.
  4. Place your payment (cash or check only – no credit cards accepted) or class card in the marked tray.
  5. If paying in cash and change is required, contact the desk aide on duty.

  6. BBT has a no-owe policy. Class payment must be made in advance before taking class.  Thank you for your cooperation.
  7. During some rehearsal periods, class registration may take place upstairs in Studio B.  Please look for signs on where to proceed to sign-in.
