New and returning students are welcome to participate in BBT’s Summer Session 2015

The six-week session is a great opportunity for new students to experience an introduction to the joys of ballet without committing to a full season.

For intermediate and advanced students, the Summer workshops offer the chance to concentrate on dance training without the pressure of their academic studies, thus creating the opportunity to make significant progress in a relatively short period of time.

We Dance Together for Ages 3-4: Saturdays, July 11 - August 15, 2015 

Gentle guidance with a parent or caregiver helps the beginner develop playful, creative dance while exploring his or her imagination. 6-week session. Saturday mornings.

 

Pre-Ballet Classes for Ages 4-7: Saturdays,  July 11 - August 15  

Pre-Ballet introduces young dancers to music, ballet, coordination, and awakens spatial/motor skills. Gentle guidance helps the beginner develop rhythm, creativity, cooperation, and teaches basic ballet skills. These classes offer an atmosphere of fun within discipline, so the children can gain a sense of accomplishment while exploring their love of dance and music. 6-week session. Saturday mornings.   

 

Level A and B Workshop for Ages 7 and Up: July 6 - 24  

Day-long workshops focus on ballet technique. The dancers receive a well-rounded training with an introduction to other movement forms, such as repertoire, musical theater, hip hop and capoeira. Level A is for beginners age 7-12. Level B is a beginner/intermediate level with pre-pointe training.

Three-Week Workshop for Level A and Level B -Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm, July 6 - 24

 

Level A and Level B workshops are designed to provide a structured training over a three-week session. For families who are looking for a shorter session, students may register for single-week sessions.

Level C & Level D (Int & Adv) Workshop for Ages 13-21: July 6 - August 14 

Intermediate and Advanced level students are encouraged to join us for the full six-week session. The first three weeks are half-days consisting of technique and pointe from 9:30 - 12:30, in preparation for the final three weeks of full-day, intensive training. Some of the full-day classes will include Modern, Pas De Deux, Variations, Franklin Method, and Pilates. These workshops are structured to provide the maximum benefit by attending all six weeks, however for those who would like a more flexible schedule, there are shorter sessions available.

Level C (Intermediate) - Three-week half-day session: July 6- July 24

 

Level D (Advanced) - Six-week session: July 6 - August 14

Adult Summer Shape-Up for Ages 13 and Up: August 17 - 21

Experience the life of a dancer this summer! This week long, full-day workshop includes technique, pointe, yoga, repertory and pas de deux. Whether a beginner or advanced student, this intensive jumpstarts ballet technique, improves fitness and sculpts the body into long, strong ballet lines. One week session, M-F 11:30am - 6pm.

 

 

 

Boys' Dance: Wednesdays, July 8 - August 12 

These classes introduce boys to music and dance through vigorous exercise and basic dance technique. 6-week session, one day per week.
