Youth Division

Yd. 1. To develop artistry through movement.

Yd. 2. Training the mature dancer in technique, artistry, and performance.

Yd. 3. A pre-professional program for youth dancers.

 

 

 

The Youth Division is available for students ages 12 - 21. Youth Division students have the opportunity to audition for BBT's Youth Company, a pre-professional ballet company. Youth Company members take technique, pointe, pas de deux, modern, and variations classes in addition to master classes and workshops with nationally recognized faculty. Youth Company members rehearse with and perform alongside professional dancers in The Nutcracker and the annual Spring Showcase in May.

Performances: BBT encourages all students to perform. Youth Company members have the opportunity to dance with local professional dancers during The Nutcracker, held annually in December on the stage of the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts. The Youth Division also presents an annual Spring Showcase each May. Additional rehearsals and performance fees are required for all participating students.
