Junior and Senior Summer Intensive Audition:

Audition for Berkeley Ballet’s Junior and Senior Summer Intensives for dancers age 9–17. Led by an outstanding faculty, including Berkeley Ballet’s Artistic Director Robin Dekkers, School Director and former LINES Ballet member Courtney Henry, and guest faculty including former New York City Ballet principal Kyra Nichols, this innovative program will help you build the skills and artistry needed to excel in your ballet career and provide an opportunity to work on contemporary and classical repertory.

This two-week Intensive is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers seeking a rigorous training program. Technique classes include ballet, pointe, yoga, conditioning, and contemporary.

• Audition:

  • Saturday, February 21

    • Ages 11 - 18 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm

      • Dancers not studying pointe work will be done at 5:30pm

    • Berkeley Ballet Studios (1370 Tenth Street, Berkeley CA)

  • Sunday, February 22

    • Ages 11 - 18 from 11:00am - 1:00pm

      • Dancers not studying pointe work will be done at 12:30pm

    • Marin Ballet Studios (100 Elm St, San Rafael, CA)

  • Placement is required for BBT’s Summer Intensive programming. If you are new to BBT, and unable to attend one of the two available auditions, please reach out to School Manager Jenna Marie at jennam@berkeleyballet.org to schedule a placement class for your dancer.

• Audition Infirmation:

  • Register using the link below

  • Check in procedure begins 30 minutes prior to the start of audition.

  • Late arrivals will not be permitted to audition.

  • Arrive wearing dance attire.

By participating in audition, you agree to the following: I am aware that dance training and the stretching exercises associated with it place unusual stress on the body and carry with them the risk of injury. On behalf of myself and my child, I assume the risk and agree that the Berkeley Ballet (BBT) shall not be liable in any way for injuries sustained during attendance at the Centre or any of its related functions including virtual instruction.
