Pre-Ballet Division Enrollment and Schedules
Families enroll their dancer in a class corresponding with their dancer’s age:
Sessional We Dance Together (Ages 2.5, 3, 4 with Guardian): Dancers must meet the minimum age by the first class of the Session.
Seasonal Creative Movement (Ages 3, 4) and Pre-Ballet (Ages 5, 6): Dancers must meet the minimum age requirement by September 1, 2025 regardless of enrollment date. Seasonal classes culminate in an optional Pre-Ballet Division Showcase. Tuition is prorated for a late start.
Dancers who are six years old by September 1, 2025 may also be eligible for Youth Division Introduction to Level 1 enrollment. For information and guidance on Youth Division placement, please contact BBT School Manager Jenna Marie: jennam@berkeleyballet.org
Uniforms by class type:
We Dance Together (Ages 2.5, 3, 4 with Guardian) and Creative Movement (Ages 3, 4):
Uniform: We Dance Together and Creative Movement classes do not require a uniform. Dancers wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement; dancers may wear canvas or leather ballet slippers or leave their feet bare with no socks. BBT requests that dancers do not wear jewelry, specifically necklaces or bracelets that can cause distraction or get tangled, or ornamental items such as tiaras or crowns that can hinder movement and distract; small earrings are okay.
Pre-Ballet (Ages 5, 6):
Uniform: Classes require a Uniform.
Make-up Classes:
All dancers are welcome to take make-up classes in an equivalently leveled class for pre-scheduled holidays and incidentally missed classes.

2026 Pre-Ballet Showcase: Saturday, 05/09/2026:
Dancers enrolled in 2025–26 Season Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet classes are welcome to enroll in the Pre-Ballet Showcase.
As dancers learn their performance during class, dancers enroll in the show that corresponds with their class number. Please double-check your dancer's schedule and class number in the enrollment table on this webpage.
11:15am Performance (#01, #02, #04): Enroll Now!
Dancers arrive at 10:00am for costuming and dress rehearsal before performance.
1:15pm Performance (#06, #07, #08, #09): Enroll Now!
Dancers arrive at 12:15pm for costuming and dress rehearsal before performance.
Tickets: Each dancer may bring three family members to the show. No additional tickets are available for purchase, and families do not need to RSVP, just arrive and have fun! BBT will also live-stream the performance via Zoom for additional friends and family.
Location: Studio 3 at Berkeley Ballet (1370 10th Street, Berkeley CA 94710).
